Mcvities White Hobnobs 232g

McVitie's White Chocolate Hobnobs, 232g. The same nubbly oat biscuit with a white chocolate coating instead of milk or dark.

White chocolate has no cocoa bitterness to balance its sweetness, so these are the sweetest of the Hobnob range by a clear margin. The oats underneath do more work here than in the other versions, since they are the only thing providing any contrast.

They dunk less well than the plain Hobnob, since white chocolate softens fast, but the biscuit itself still holds up better than a digestive would.

Hobnobs arrived in 1985 and changed what a British biscuit could be. The white version came considerably later.

White chocolate softens at a lower temperature than milk or dark, so keep the pack somewhere cool and out of sunlight.
