Jacobs Gold Roast in a 100g jar. Jacobs is a major name across Germany and much of Europe, better known there than here, and Gold Roast is the smooth everyday blend in the range.
It is rounder and less sharp than a lot of British instant coffee, which makes it easy to drink black as well as white. Worth trying if your instant coffee horizons have so far been limited to the two or three brands on every supermarket end-cap.

Keep the jar in a cupboard rather than beside the kettle, where steam gets into it every time you make a cup and gradually flattens the aroma.
