Hellmann's Thousand Island dressing, 250ml. A creamy dressing with a tomato and relish base, tangier than a Caesar and sweeter than a vinaigrette.
Its traditional home is a prawn cocktail, where it does the job of a marie rose sauce without any mixing. Beyond that it is closer to a burger sauce than a salad dressing, and it works on a burger accordingly.
It also doubles as a dip for wedges or crudités, which is why the bottle is labelled for both.
