Flahavan's porridge oats in the 1.5kg bag. The family have been milling at Kilmacthomas in County Waterford since 1785, using the same mill site the whole time, and the oats are grown on farms within a short distance of it.
Flahavan's are noticeably creamier than most oats when cooked, which comes from the milling rather than anything added. If you have only ever had supermarket own-brand porridge, the difference is real and immediately obvious in the bowl.

Made on the hob with milk it is at its best, though the microwave works perfectly well on a weekday. Store the bag sealed and dry.
